HBOS Bankers jailed for a total of 49 years, in 2017, came before the Criminal Appeals Court on 28 Feb 2020, in an application to reduce their jail sentences. The court failed to determine that the 49 years jail sentences were insufficient deterrent because the amount of money laundered every year by UK banks continued to be £200 billion without reduction. The Criminal Appeals Court ought to have then re-tried the other eight defendants and done further investigations until the money-laundering stopped. The fact that victims are still not compensated until January 2024 whilst the Fraudulent Trading and Money Laundering is ongoing, proves that the UK Criminal Justice System is unfit for purpose, the regulators in finance, law, judiciary and fraud agencies become participants in the ongoing crimes of premature deaths of victims due to the banks' fraudulent trading and money-laundering. This becomes a matter for the International Court of Justice to dissolve the UK banks under the United Nations Charter.
